Aucklanders save over $390K Grabbing a Deal

The first week of collective purchasing brings huge rewards

In the first week since www.GrabOne.co.nz launched Aucklanders have saved in excess of $390,000 purchasing over 21,000 deals.

GrabOne Head Quarters went into frenzy only a few hours after launch with the initial offer of a $4 movie ticket and has not stopped since. Yesterday’s deal will see 7465 people travelling to Waiheke Island on Fullers Ferry for only $10 return, this equates to a 69 per cent saving on the full fare ticket.

Shane Bradley founder of GrabOne says that in its first week the site has become a phenomenal success and the responses are pouring in. There is already a 5 week wait list and over 140 businesses wanting to offer a deal on the site.

“We are committed to continuing to offer great deals and giving people the chance to experience activities that price may have deterred them from in the past. The overwhelming response is a sure sign that Kiwis love huge genuine savings.”

The website has generated exceptional traffic amassing over 5,500 fans on FaceBook and Twitter, at the peak of one deal the site was selling two tickets per second.

“This highlights the power of social media and the internet.” says Bradley “In seven days we have sold over half a million dollars retail value in deals and delivered saving of over $390,000 to everyone.”

The weeks deals have included movie tickets, hotel stays, motor bike safaris, Bikram yoga and even Auckland harbour bridge bungy jumping.

“The timely launch of GrabOne has provided some great deals for school holiday entertainment keeping both the kids and their parents happy.” says Bradley

www.GrabOne.co.nz offers services such as entertainment, beauty therapy, restaurants, bars, and experiences at hugely reduced discounts of up to 90%, through the power of collective purchasing.
Each deal will be made available to the public for 24 hours and in order for the deal to activate at the discounted price a minimum number of people must confirm their willingness to buy. Once the deal has activated the transaction is processed and a downloadable coupon is emailed to the member.

GrabOne will be rolled out to other main centres and regional areas across the country with Wellington and Christchurch already in the pipeline to go live by the end of August.
