Auckland Airport June 2010 Monthly Traffic Update
International passenger traffic (excluding transits) grew in June driven by growing traffic from Asia. Traffic was up 2.4% for the 12 months ending June 10.
Domestic passenger traffic was up by 4.3% over June 09. However, capacity was largely unchanged.
Traffic from Australia was up 3.1% on June 09. Australia passenger numbers are well ahead year to date. Additional capacity on the Cairns and Gold Coast markets has stimulated travel.
Passenger traffic from Asia was up year on year. Traffic from Japan was up - aided by recent airline schedule changes resulting in additional capacity into Auckland.
