Pure Kiwis, Pure Genius, Pure Futures

MEDIA RELEASE 29 JULY 2010

PURE KIWIS, PURE GENIUS, PURE FUTURES
www.purefutures.co.nz

A fashion label using only pure fabrics, the establishment of a volunteer ambulance service, handcrafted bikes, Kiwi designed solar baches, rooftop gardens, HD webcams, future Olympians and wannabe world champions, restoration of historical buildings, the world’s fastest sailing kayaks. These are just a selection of visions uploaded to Pure Futures (a site developed to find inspiring Kiwis who will be the future success stories of our country.) So far the site is fast gaining momentum as visions are logged, applauded and rewarded.

With over 500 visions and more than 8000 people registered, the Pure Futures community is working its magic by creating networks, sharing information and offering support while potential success stories are being identified and supported with a little of what they need to speed up the process.

Resource, mentorship, cash and merchandise have been sent to ‘Pure People’ who have recently achieved or are setting out to achieve inspired goals and visions. A selection of those rewarded so far include:

- Emily Harris – rooftop garden supplies for her first rooftop which she found through the community on purefutures.co.nz

- Wayne Alexander – publicity for his invention of a low emission two stroke engine

- Jayson Norris – help with a Singapore Tour and a flight back home

- Dion Anderson – stretcher and Life Support Unit for his Great Barrier Island Volunteer Ambulance Service

- Ben Jagersma – fridge for his Solar Bach which is being entered into the 2011 Solar Decathlon in Washington DC

- Malcolm Law - donation to his cause to raise $250,000 for Leukaemia sufferers

- Claire Shewan – mentorship with Huffer

Todd Gordon, Marketing Manager for Steinlager Pure, the brand behind the site, comments, “We know there are more big thinkers out there and we still have significant funds from the $100k scholarship fund to support worthy visionaries. Seven talented mentors are on stand by to help selected visions become a reality. What have you got to lose.”

Steinlager Pure’s mantra is “Keep it Pure” – a belief that when brewing a beer for New Zealand you must stick to your principles to achieve great results. Being single-minded and not weakened by compromise in the pursuit of excellence. This belief extends from beer, to the view of New Zealand’s future. That if we are to shape what is to come and carve our own path, we must step boldly forward and without compromise to achieve our individual and collective goals.

Become part of the future success of New Zealand by posting your vision online and reading others at www.purefutures.co.nz
