Gull Holds Fuel Prices

Gull Holds Fuel Prices

Auckland, 6 December 2010 –

Gull has this afternoon confirmed their commitment to affordable motoring by announcing that they will be holding their existing price levels until at least Wednesday morning.

Graham Stirk, Gull Retail Manager said that while the recent oil price increase and slide in the exchange rate was the probable driver in at least two of the major oil companies increasing their pump price today, Gull remained committed to affordable motoring.

"This is a busy time of the year with motorists doing their Christmas shopping, and every bit Gull can do to assist helps at this time of the year. Gull is all about ensuring our prices are fair.

"Kiwis will save around five or six cents per litre on 91 Octane petrol at Gull, compared with the oil giants that have increased their prices," Stirk continues. "Canny motorists will save more with biofuels as Regular Plus is priced below the comparable mineral fuel.

"We'll look at the situation again on Wednesday morning and reassess things then," he concludes.

At the majority of Gull outlets where Gull controls retail prices, prices are as follows:

Gull Regular Plus (91 Octane) $1.869 Gull Regular (91 Octane) $1.879 Gull Force 10 (98 Octane) $1.999 Gull Diesel Max (5% biodiesel) $1.269 Gull Low Sulphur Diesel $1.279
