Ports of Auckland Flag at Half Mast for Sir Richard Carter
Ports of Auckland will today be flying the New Zealand flag at their Mechanics Bay Head Office at half mast in honour of Sir Richard Carter. A donation has also been made to the Kidney Society in lieu of flowers.
Ports of Auckland CEO Jens Madsen said that he was saddened to hear of the death of the Ports former Chairman who had continued to be a great supporter of Ports of Auckland.
We still have many employees at the Ports of Auckland who remember Sir Richard, and the tremendous contribution that he made to the Port during his tenure as Chairman of the Board (1993 to 2000).
“He was a pioneer in the New Zealand business community, and will be greatly missed.”
