AMP donates to Prime Minister’s Christchurch Earthquake Appeal
AMP Limited has announced it will donate up to $1
million to the Prime
Minister’s Christchurch Earthquake
Appeal.
AMP will donate $700,000 while the AMP Foundation
and AMP will dollar match
New Zealand and Australian
employee and adviser donations up to $300,000.
“We offer
our deepest condolences to those who are experiencing the
loss of
family and friends and our thoughts are with the
people of Christchurch and
Canterbury as we join the
Prime Minister’s international appeal to support
their
efforts to rebuild their lives,” AMP Financial Services NZ
Managing
Director, Jack Regan said.
“The road to
rebuild such a great place will be long and paved
with
challenge and AMP will do its part to help,” Mr
Regan added. “ It’s easy
to believe in New
Zealand’s ability to succeed in this task as we
admire
the courage, skill and resilience of so many
working as one in the rescue
and recovery effort,” he
said.
