IVECO Trucks re-enters New Zealand market

IVECO Trucks Australia is pleased to announce the purchase of their New Zealand agency from New Zealand Trucks Limited, a subsidiary of the Stevenson Engineering Group.

Giorgio Gallia, Managing Director said “We see the New Zealand business as a strategic acquisition for IVECO in this region and look forward to seeing more IVECO Trucks on the road.” Now trading as IVECO Trucks New Zealand, the business will retail trucks on the North Island and be responsible for the wholesale of trucks to a dealership in the South Island. All existing parts and service dealership agreements were also transferred to IVECO Trucks New Zealand.

Newly appointed General Manager of IVECO Trucks New Zealand, Kevin Smith was previously CEO of Fruehauf Trailers, and has most recently moved from General Manager at Plumbing World to his new role with IVECO. Smith says “It is exciting to re-establish an IVECO presence in the New Zealand market, and I look forward to working with our existing customers as well developing new relationships throughout the country. We are part of a powerful company with a respected brand, a wonderful product range of trucks, and a massive commitment to the New Zealand market.”

IVECO has long recognized the value of the New Zealand market through sponsorship of the All Blacks for the past 3 years.
