Post-quake recovery mission planned

Post-quake recovery mission planned

Kingswood Skis home, Lyttelton, was the epicentre of the 6.3 magnitude quake that hit in February. Today, some of the towns most iconic buildings are coming down.

The Kingswood Skis factory was severely damaged in the February quake (after an initial hammering in September). It will also have to be demolished. We have a plan to use chainsaws and cranes to put a hole in the roof and the first floor and crane out the materials and equipment so that we can make skis for this winter.

We are currently taking orders for this season and are happy to chat about which skis will work best for you. Get your order in the queue. We won't ask for a deposit until we're fully operational.

We are committed to rebuilding in Lyttelton and look forward to the challenge of creating an amazing, safe and sustainable building.
