BP Drops Petrol Prices Again

BP has dropped the price of petrol and diesel today by 3 cents per litre. This is the second decrease in the last three days, and is the fourth price drop in three weeks at BP-owned stores.

BP Managing Director Mike McGuinness said 91 and 95 Unleaded petrol, and Ultimate Diesel, had now fallen 16 cents since 9 May.

Petrol prices at most BP-owned service stations are:

91 Unleaded $ 205.9 cents per litre 95 Unleaded $ 213.9 cents per litre Ultimate Diesel $148.9 cents per litre

“We have been able to reduce our retail prices again tonight as a result of the New Zealand dollar continuing to strengthen against the US dollar. International refined fuel prices have also continued to soften.

“BP welcomes the opportunity to pass on these saving to our customers,” he said.

“Pump prices are made up of a number of factors, including the international price of petrol and diesel, the US/NZ exchange rate, and taxes and levies. We monitor these costs all the time and we’re committed to passing on any decreases in those costs to motorists as quickly as possible.”
