Nectar Opens In Kingsland

Nectar Opens In Kingsland

Press Release

24th May 2011

A new sanctuary for the discerning has opened in the heart of Kingsland, bringing an oasis of genteel sophistication that reflects the new emergent global culture, combined with the creative quirkiness that has always been a feature of the area.

Nectar, created in the loft of the building adjoining the Kingslander, unlike its neighbours, is not targeting the world cup hype, but is being crafted for local consumption.

Nectar Manager Sara Emery,
Yes we will be a special destination during the world cup, however Nectar has been created to compliment the community, as well as be a destination getaway for people wanting to relax and socialize. We are hidden away above the hustle of the Eden Park crowds and provide warm indoor and outdoor areas to relax and enjoy the Nectar of the senses, from the cocktails, the wines, the tapas, to the music, the fireplace, and the loungers.”

Designed by Lovelace & Co. - Rachael Lovelace & Deborah Brown

We wanted to create a bar that reflected the locals - a relaxed vibrant creative neighbourhood and one that is well travelled. So the concept was based on creating a 'cosmopolitan cultured' look within the bar. The intention is a balance between luxe materials and raw unfinished elements with subtle references to international styles.”
