A Choice Hotel ‘Just Around the Corner’ says Million Dollar Ad Campaign

Choice Hotels has launched its “just around the corner” media campaign with a new TVC highlighting its Choice Privileges customer loyalty programme that ensures trans-Tasman travellers get the most out of their membership.

Created by The Marketing Revolution in Sydney, the concept behind the “just around the corner” commercial plays to the strategy that people do not book a Choice Hotel as a ‘destination; but rather choose to stay with Choice Hotels when they are travelling to a region to experience something there – whether it be for leisure or business.

“The TVC is really fun and fresh and reflects the key reasons our customers choose to stay at our properties; reliability, service and location,” says Aileen Cobern, General Manager Sales and Marketing of Choice Hotels.

With 280 properties across Australasia and accommodation to suit a range of budgets, the ad reminds consumers that they can easily find a Choice hotel to meet their travel needs.

The new TVC went to air on 22 May and will feature on TV1 and TV2 nationally until the end of the year in 30- and 15-second adaptations.

To coincide with the TVC, Choice Hotels has also launched its “Stay twice, get a night free” Choice Privileges offer. Members who stay at any Choice Hotels property throughout Australasia on two separate occasions between 19 May and 11 August 2011 will get a night free in an Econo Lodge, Comfort, Quality or Clarion hotel of their choice.

The promotion is open to Choice Privileges members in New Zealand and Australia and will also be promoted online, in print and at point of sale.

The free night can be redeemed at any of the 280 hotels across Australia and New Zealand between 1 July and 15 September 2011. Choice Privileges membership is free and only takes a minute to join.
