Wellington Airport to increase parking capacity
Wellington Airport is
doubling capacity of the upper level car park extending
south, to ease peak time congestion and to provide more
space for passenger pick-up and drop-off.
The new
space will have direct access to the check-in area and is
expected to be available for use in time for the increased
requirements during the Rugby World Cup.
The upper
level extension will improve access for people dropping off
passengers at check-in, provide more disabled parks and will
also double the covered parking available on the ground
level.
During the construction period there will be some changes to the access layout of the southern section of the Terminal car park and signage will direct people to available spaces. If customers are unsure about where to park, please check the Airport’s website www.wellingtonairport.co.nz, or call their parking team on 04 385 5143 for more information.
During the construction period extra staff will be on site to help direct customers.
