FSANZ Appointments Welcomed
The New Zealand Food and Grocery Council welcomes today’s announcement by the Hon Catherine King, Parliamentary Secretary of Health, of the appointments of Mr Andrew McKenzie and Mr Neil Walker to the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) Board. Both men have been appointed to the New Zealand-nominated positions on the trans-Tasman FSANZ Board.
“Mr McKenzie is highly regarded by our membership for his strong technical background, extensive knowledge of the food industry and his experience as former Chief Executive of the NZ Food Safety Authority”, said Katherine Rich, Chief Executive of the New Zealand Food and Grocery Council.
“During his tenure as Chief Executive of the NZFSA he worked tirelessly to advance New Zealand’s offshore interests in the food area and was widely respected for keeping an open dialogue with all food industry stakeholders.
“Both Mr McKenzie and Mr Walker will be assets to the FSANZ board”, Mrs Rich said.
