Auckland, New Zealand, July 29 2011 - After an impressive year of growth, 1Cover Travel Insurance today announced that they intend to support the local jobs market, appointing a new marketing and partnership manager, Zoe Macfarlane. Managing Director, Eddie Feltham said record sales had sealed the deal to grow the Auckland-based team, which launched in 2005.

"The New Zealand market looks very promising at the moment," Mr Feltham said "People are increasingly moving towards international travel for leisure, and we are excited to be growing our team in such a dynamic market."

No stranger to the industry, Ms Macfarlane has an extensive background in travel and product development which has placed her managing people and projects across the globe. A self-confessed adventure travel junkie, Ms Macfarlane's career has taken her around South East Asia as a tour leader for Travel Indochina, and through greater Asia and the Middle East as a product manager for Adventure World.

Most recently, however, Ms Macfarlane jumped the fence over to agency-life, where she hung up her hiking boots to manage the marketing and advertising strategy for 160 local McDonald's restaurants with DDB Advertising Agency. It was this role that positioned her to win the 2011 Fairfax/Ad Media national advertising award for Rookie Suit of the Year.

But it seems Ms Macfarlane suffers the ongoing symptoms of wanderlust and eventually found herself back in the travel sector with 1Cover.

"I am very passionate about travel and the opportunity to be involved in steering the direction of an up and coming player in the travel insurance market was an offer too good to refuse," Ms Macfarlane said.

The pattern of growth and expansion for 1Cover is consistent in Australia and Singapore, ensuring no shortage of employment opportunities for locals across the 3 countries.
