SAFE Air Ltd can confirm that the engineer who died during a routine maintenance operation at its base in Blenheim this morning was 51 year old local man.
SAFE Air Ltd continues to work with Police and the Department of Labour on the investigation.
SAFE Air Ltd is a subsidiary of Air New Zealand. Air New Zealand CEO Rob Fyfe and Group General Manager Technical Operations Vanessa Stoddart are travelling to Blenheim to support the engineer's family, friends and colleagues.
