New Zealand's Macpac opens new store in Newcastle

Macpac today announced it is opening a new retail store in Newcastle, NSW on the 13th of October.

It will be the company's 15th store in Australia, and will bring the total to 35 Macpac stores across Australia and New Zealand by November. Macpac have made high quality outdoor equipment and apparel since 1973, and have their products distributed throughout the UK, Europe and Japan. With the recent partnership with retail figure and philanthropist Jan Cameron, Macpac is looking to grow their retail presence in Australia.

Managing director Campbell Junor says: "Macpac's purpose has been to provide well designed and well made to outdoor enthusiasts who expect a high standard. We are seeing now that the demand for quality outdoor clothing and equipment is growing as other retailers pursue broader markets. It is a very exciting time for our business now, and we are delighted to find such a good team for our store in Newcastle".

The new Macpac store in Newcastle will employ 5 staff.
