Media Release

Aegis Media Pacific appoints Robert Harvey in NZ

Aegis Media Pacific has appointed Robert Harvey to the position of Managing Director – Media in New Zealand. He will head the 40 strong Aegis media division in Auckland, comprising Mitchell & Partners, Carat and MPG, commencing on 5th December.

Mr Harvey joins Aegis from Zenith Optimedia and Publicis Mojo where he has been Group Managing Director since December 2010.

Paul Davey, MD – Media for Aegis Media (Australia and New Zealand), said: “Robert will bring an exceptional level of media and advertising industry experience to the Aegis Media team in Auckland and we’re thrilled to have him joining our business.”

“Robert has a proven ability to provide leadership, vision and direction, and to translate a strong culture into positive business results. We have had a good year in NZ and delivered some great results for existing clients like 2 Degrees which we helped launch in the NZ market. We are looking forward to continuing to grow our client base in NZ.”

“Robert inherits a very strong business from outgoing MD Philip O’Neill, who has resigned his position. Philip assisted with the recruitment of his replacement and will remain with our business until Robert officially joins us. Our New Zealand media business has strengthened considerably under Philip’s leadership and I thank him for his valuable contribution to the company over the years.”

Robert Harvey said: “It’s great to have the opportunity to lead one of our region’s most established media agencies and be part of a global leader in Aegis Media. With interesting clients, creative staff and the potential for growth, I’m certainly looking forward to getting started with the team.”
