Hirepool Continues Growth with Two Senior Appointments

Auckland, 28 October 2011 – Hirepool Limited has made two new senior appointments as it continues to strengthen its position as the country’s premier rental equipment solutions provider.

Tere Hagai has been appointed to the position of National Product Manager – Access and Scaffold while Craig Booth has taken over as National Product Manager – Rental Vehicles. Hagai is based in Auckland while Booth currently resides in Christchurch. Both bring a wealth of industry and management experience to their new roles.

Hagai, who has been with Hirepool for 16 years, was previously National Manager for Hirepool’s vehicle rental division, which includes Henderson Rentals in the North Island and Rhodes Rentals in the South Island. Starting in 1995 as a part-time service person in the Wellington branch, Hagai spent 12 years in Wellington culminating as the Lower North Island Manager before transferring to Auckland in 2007 to take over the National Divisional Manager role.

Booth was previously General Manager at Rhodes Rentals prior to its acquisition by Hirepool in 2008. The last three years were spent in a National Business development role where he successfully grew the Hirepool vehicle rental business by 20%.

In his new role Hagai will look to establish Hirepool as the country’s leading elevated work platform (EWP) and aluminium scaffold solutions provider while Booth is determined to enhance Hirepool’s market leadership in the light commercial and passenger van rental vehicle market.

Chief Executive Mark Powell says the appointments demonstrate Hirepool’s commitment to create and maintain sustainable partnerships with customers, suppliers and staff. “I’m confident Tere and Craig will play key leadership roles in the growth of our business,” he says.
