Prizes for Business of the Year

The 2011 Electra Business of the Year for Kapiti and Horowhenua will be announced at a gala dinner this Friday.

296 people have registered to attend the function being held in the Southwards theatre.

As well as the status and pride that goes with the title, Event Manager Kirsten Kilmister says “that the Electra Business of the Year winner can look forward to receiving prizes from Air New Zealand, the Whitireia Small Business Development programme, advertising from both BeachFM and the Kapiti Observer/Horowhenua Mail as well as Ohau Gravels wine and a complimentary membership to Nature Coast Enterprise.”

The BNZ Highly Commended Business of the Year will receive a registration to an Icehouse Business Growth Seminar valued at $1,200. The category winners also receive prizes ranging from Air New Zealand Koru club membership, basic Xero set-up and training through to gift baskets and wine.

The categories being announced on Friday are: New Thinking, Staff Development, Sustainability, Health and Safety, Customer Service, Operational Capability, High Growth, Marketing and Image Building, Regional Branding and Promotion, Not for Profit, Small Business of the Year, Emerging Business of the Year and the Past Masters Award.

Three presentations will also be made for the Nature Coast Business Hall of Fame to recognise business leaders whose exceptional efforts in business and the community have had a positive impact on economic growth and business success.

Tickets can still be purchased for the function prior to Friday by emailing Kirsten@scopevents.co.nz. Tickets cannot be purchased on the night.
