Genesis Energy confirms outage occurred at Huntly Power Station
All generation output into the National Grid from the Huntly Power Station ceased at 12.45pm this afternoon.
As a result, electricity supply to some consumers was interrupted although supplies are being restored by Transpower in conjunction with distribution companies.
Genesis Energy is working with Transpower to investigate and identify the cause of the outage. A return to service of the generating units at Huntly Power Station is not known at this time.
Further updates on this outage will provided as more information comes to hand.
