ANZ National Bank Ltd, a subsidiary of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited

Media Release

2 March 2012

ANZ Wealth receives Morningstar Fund Manager of the Year Award for OnePath

ANZ’s specialist fund manager, OnePath, has been awarded Morningstar Fund Manager of the Year[1] 2012. For the second year in a row, OnePath was also named KiwiSaver Manager of the Year. Morningstar is the leading international provider of independent investment research and the awards were announced yesterday evening.

ANZ Wealth Managing Director, John Body said: “This is a fantastic achievement following last year’s Morningstar KiwiSaver Manager of the Year Award 2011. The awards recognise the quality of ANZ’s investment management and our expertise in KiwiSaver. It’s particularly pleasing given the criteria Morningstar used to decide the winners.”

Morningstar Australasia’s Co-Head of Fund Research, Chris Douglas, said: “The award-winners have shown themselves to be outstanding stewards of their investors’ capital, and our analysts consider OnePath offers the best all-round solution for New Zealanders’ retirement savings needs. This achievement is testament to the quality of the firm’s processes and people, and to the consistent results the fund manager has produced for investors in its funds.”

John Body said: “It’s important for investors to be able to differentiate the best options available to them for KiwiSaver. As well as meeting investors’ expectations for fund performance we are also committed to raising the bar for communications and delivering educational materials to help investors.”
