Complete Canine Care dog day care and boutique kennels

Complete Canine Care dog day care and boutique kennels

Alison is delighted that Complete Canine Care is about to open a day centre and boutique boarding kennels in Penrose. “I live in One Tree Hill and the location is perfect for me,” says Alison. “Patrick St is a quiet cul de sac very close to Mt Smart stadium and very accessible for me.

Alison says, “Dudley just loves it when Rhiannon comes to take her for her regular walk. Rhiannon is very dedicated to her work with dogs. She is completing her Canine Behaviourist Diploma and seems to have that knack of knowing just exactly what is best for Molly and for us as owners. I know she will do very well with her new day centre and boutique kennels which extend her services into a whole new category.”

Rhiannon says that people without dogs find it hard to understand the bond that is forged between an owner and their dog. “All the dogs that I have cared for are much loved,” says Rhiannon. “For me, the opening of the Complete Canine Care day centre and boutique kennels is just the next step in my vision to have the best possible deal for dogs and their responsible owners. “I have worked as a volunteer at SPCA, I am an accredited Pet Tech© first aid trainer and am completing my Canine Behaviourist Diploma with the British College of Canine Studies in the UK, so I feel that the timing is right to bring this experience and expertise for the benefit of dogs and their owners. “ Rhiannon is concerned that much publicity about dogs, is negative, when the focus should be on the irresponsible owners.

Rhiannon refers to a study by the British College of Canine Studies, which found several things in common after looking at twenty human fatalities from Pit Bull Terrier attacks.

• Ten of the twenty dogs were owned by young males between twenty and twenty five years old.
• Eleven of the owners had criminal records, seven of which were for violence.
• Eleven of the twenty dogs had signs and evidence of having been physically abused.”

“Although there is no questioning a dog’s genetics it is important to note that certain breeds end up with certain owners and at the end of the day the dog is not to blame.” says Rhiannon.

“Our centre in Patrick St Penrose is centrally located for those in eastern suburbs who work in the south or west,” says Rhiannon. I am looking forward to the opening day on 14 May.
