Peppers Promotions for New Zealand Rising Stars

11 June 2012

Peppers Promotions for New Zealand Rising Stars

Two key managers at Peppers properties have been promoted into general management roles, highlighting the Mantra Group’s commitment to career development in New Zealand through its ‘Rising Star’ programme.

From 14 June Andrew Freak will conclude his current position as Operations Manager - Peppers Clearwater Resort, Christchurch to take up the role of General Manager – Peppers Bluewater Resort, Lake Tekapo.

Andrew fills the void left by Alistair Munro, who was named General Manager of the Year – NZ in the Mantra Group Awards 2012 and is now working with Mantra Group in Melbourne under the guidance of Doug Flavell.

From 12 June Suzanne Wells, the current Operations Manager at Peppers Beacon in Queenstown, will relocate to Peppers Clearwater Resort (in the interim on a secondment until Peppers Awaroa re-opens in September, 2012) to take up her new position as General Manager - Peppers Awaroa Lodge.

Awaroa Lodge in the Abel Tasman National Park is the newest addition to the Mantra Group New Zealand Portfolio and is due to open in September.

Ken Harris, Regional General Manager – New Zealand, says these promotions showcase how well Mantra Group’s internal development and management programme is working.

“It’s an absolute sign of success that our key people are choosing to stay with Mantra Group, where we can offer them clearly defined opportunities for career progression.”

“These new General Manager appointments reveal the talent within our New Zealand properties and demonstrate the depth and development happening in the New Zealand region.”

As a result of these promotions, Mantra Group now has positions available in New Zealand. Interested parties can email careers@mantragroup.com.au .
