Webstar New Zealand – Passionate about Printing in New Zealand

Webstar’s new Auckland investment has hit the ground running, bringing home six gold medals and three highly commended awards at the annual Pride in Print Awards held last Friday.

Webstar’s results included gold medals in the Publication category for ACP titles Taste (cover date Dec 2011), Top Gear (cover date Jan 2012) and Cleo (cover date Jan 2012). These were complimented by Highly Commended awards for NZ Home (Dec11/Jan12) and Metro (cover date Jan/Feb2012)

In the Promotional Print category, Webstar also received gold medals for their production of ACP’s Property Press Central (cover date 12 Jan 2012), Harvey Norman’s “We’ve got Christmas Covered” issue and Ezibuy’s Home Holiday catalogue.

Webstar is part of the Blue Star Group which includes some of New Zealand’s leading print businesses. These include Panprint, Rapid Labels, McCollam’s, Format, Printlink, Spectrum and Nicholson Print Solutions, who all also featured strongly at the awards.

Webstar’s New Zealand general manager Bernie Roberts said the awards were a wonderful endorsement of the company’s new Auckland facility, and showcased its new capability across a range of formats and run sizes during its first six months of operation.

“These awards are a testament to the effort that everyone has put in over the first six months of our operation in Auckland,” he said.

“The results achieved by a new team in a new plant were fantastic. We look forward to an even better year next year.”
