Paper Plus Hawera named best in the country

Local books and stationery store, Paper Pus Hawera, has been awarded as the best in the country, taking out the prestigious title for Paper Plus Store of the Year at the annual Paper Plus Group Awards.

The announcement was made at an exclusive gala dinner held at The Pullman Hotel in Auckland last night, where more than 400 store owners, suppliers and publishers celebrated the store’s success, as well as the achievements of the Paper Plus Group franchise.

As a major destination store for book lovers in the Taranaki region, Paper Plus Hawera was one of three finalists, and beat 107 other stores nationwide to claim the title. Paper Plus Hawera was named the overall winner due to their superior sales, store presentation and compliance, and community involvement and support.

Paper Plus Hawera also took out the top spot for having the best stationary sales nationwide.

The proud store owner, Dallas McCallum, is overjoyed with the accomplishment; a goal he has been working towards for many years. “Receiving this award is a tremendous achievement, and is a real credit to both the staff and our loyal customers who have been there with us all the way. We have put in the hard yards and have had unprecedented support from head office,” says Dallas.

“I’m proud to be a part of such a successful franchise, and have been particularly blessed with a dedicated and passionate team who continually go the extra mile for our customers – it’s wonderful for the team to be recognised in this way,” adds Dallas.
