New Chief Executive For Grow Wellington
Paul Mersi, Chair of Grow Wellington, has announced the appointment of Gerard Quinn as its new Chief Executive.
Mr Mersi says, “We are very pleased with Gerard’s appointment and warmly welcome someone of his calibre to lead the Grow Wellington team”.
“We received very strong levels of interest in the position. Gerard stood out for his unique and proven combination of strengths and skills. Together these make him an ideal leader of a re-oriented and revitalised Grow Wellington, maximising the value of Grow Wellington’s ratepayer funding.”
“Gerard brings energy, strong leadership, and a wealth of experience in the field of economic development. This is balanced by a strong intellect and Gerard’s fresh perspective that will be of enormous benefit to the Wellington region.”
Most recently Mr Quinn held senior management roles at Canterbury Development Corporation, providing economic development leadership and strong community engagement throughout the earthquakes and subsequent recovery.
