AAT Kings’ boost for central Christchurch
AAT Kings’ boost for
central Christchurch
5 October, 2012: This Monday
(October 8) sees the regular return of tour groups to
central Christchurch with Australia and New Zealand travel
specialist AAT Kings using the newly-opened Ibis
Christchurch to accommodate its guests across all its Best
Buys’ South Island guided tours.
Seven AAT Kings’ Best Buys guided tours, each with year-round departure dates, will now include a night in central Christchurch at the start or end of the tour bringing thousands of domestic and international visitors into the heart of the city. AAT Kings’ passengers also have the option to stay an additional night there at a special rate pre or post their touring experience.
“It’s a significant landmark for AAT Kings but more importantly for our passengers and the people of Christchurch. We are able to give our guests a clear understanding and education into the impact of last February’s earthquake, while also helping support the rebuild of Christchurch,” says AAT Kings New Zealand Operations Manager Bruce Gentry.
“With the opening of the new property, our guests can benefit from a central city hotel of a consistent standard close to entertainment, shopping and tourism facilities. The location, adjacent to the Re:START shopping mall in Cashel Street featuring shops and cafes, means AAT Kings’ passengers will be at the hub of the new Christchurch.”
AAT Kings’ Best Buys New Zealand guided tours vary from eight to 17 days in length and offer passengers hassle free, value-for-money holiday experiences throughout the North and South Islands. Each itinerary includes sightseeing, travel by luxury air-conditioned coach, comfortable accommodation, the services of an experienced tour director and driver, some meals and airport transfers.
