Trailer for Local Film at Business Awards Dinner

Trailer for Local Film To Be Screened at Business Awards Dinner

People attending the Electra Kapiti Horowhenua Business Awards dinner on Friday (12th Oct) will be among the first to see a trailer for a big screen production partially filmed on the Kapiti Coast and due for its New Zealand premiere in November.

The Executive Producer for the film Eternity is Brendon King of Raumati, the director and sole shareholder of Creative Coast Limited. Other locations were in Wellington, Hawkes Bay and Hong Kong. It is a sci-fi thriller set in the near future. A police detective must solve a seemingly impossible murder mystery to save his own life.

With the theme “Proud to Be Local” this month’s Electra Kapiti Horowhenua Business Awards dinner is attracting strong interest.

Organiser, Kirsten Kilmister says that already the number of registrations for the gala presentation evening on Friday (12th Oct) equals that of last year and she expects a late flurry of bookings as people ensure they don’t miss out on what is regarded as one of the highlight social events of the year.

Business people generally have booked and not just those associated with the awards finalists. Some have recruited others to make up tables of ten. These include the Horowhenua Learning Centre and last year’s Business Hall of Fame laureate, Jack Leslie.

Chair of Business Kapiti Horowhenua, Mark Ternent, says that the awards are a celebration of business excellence in Horowhenua and Kapiti and that is why so many people want to be present for the announcement of the awards.

By winning a spot prize, all those attending will be in the draw for two Air New Zealand return flights from Paraparaumu to Auckland. Music will be provided by local band Black Eyed Susie.

The Electra Kapiti Horowhenua Business Awards gala dinner will be on Friday 12th October starting at 6.30pm in the Horowhenua Events Centre in Levin. Tickets and more information can be obtained via awards@bkh.org.nz.
