New Zealand Company Offers Prize Package On A Par With International Competitions.
The all new Travel Photography Awards, (www.travelphotographyawards.com) administered by a small company out of New Zealand, offers a total prize package valued at well over US$20,000 — easily matching or exceeding that offered by many other top brand international photography competitions such as Travel Photographer of the Year (UK), Black and White Spider Awards (US), Masters Cup International Colour Awards (US) and the World Open (Canada).
Which goes to show that small New Zealand businesses often have what it takes to attract big name sponsors and investors from around the world.
The all new Travel Photography Awards, launched earlier this year, features a total prize package that includes an all-expenses paid private Photo Tour of the Islands of Tahiti — including international flights, all accommodation, all meals, all transfers and all organised activities. In addition there are two DSLR and two compact Nikon camera kits up for grabs, an AquaTech underwater camera housing, a brand new HP laptop, a number of Lowepro camera backpacks, Lexar memory cards and more.
Entry into the awards is a mere US$20, and the judging panel includes a number of international industry professionals, including TV celebrity Phil Keoghan, host of the Amazing Race. (Keoghan being a Kiwi lad himself).
It might just be time to dig out that old camera and give it a go!!
To find out more, or to enter the Travel Photography Awards yourself, go to www.travelphotographyawards.com. Entry is open to anyone over the age of 18, amateurs and professionals alike. A full list of the prizes as well as terms and conditions of entry are available on the site.
