INFINZ Industry Awards Recognises Excellence In Capital Markets

Two Fellowships and 13 Awards were presented to finance professionals last night at the annual INFINZ awards.

More than 770 people attended the black tie dinner at The Langham Hotel in Auckland, held to recognise excellence in New Zealand’s capital markets.

“By highlighting the outstanding players in our industry, we hope to raise standards across the entire market place,” says Jim McElwain, Executive Director of INFINZ (the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand Inc.).

“Our focus is on those actions and individuals who have added most value to corporate New Zealand and hence the economy.”

The Award Winners are as follows:

First NZ Capital  Market Leaders Best Corporate Communicator: Contact Energy Limited

NZX - Emerging Leaders Best Corporate Communicator: Abano Healthcare Group Limited

The Business - Institutional Banking Innovation: Citibank N.A. NZ, for the Ripple Platform for FX Trading

About the INFINZ Industry Awards

2013 is the eleventh year of the INFINZ Industry Awards. Their purpose is to recognise excellence in the NZ capital markets and to raise standards in the marketplace. Each Award has its own criteria and judging process – most are determined by judging submissions but some are determined by voting. Thirty-one individual judges, 16 fund managers and six broking firms were involved in judging the 2013 awards. INFINZ Fellowships are also conferred to recognise those who have made an outstanding contribution to the NZ capital markets.
