Christchurch consultancy appoints new Partner
Public relations consultant Lucy Powell became a Partner in Christchurch-based consultancy Carter Price Rennie (CPR) earlier this month.
Powell joined CPR in October 2012 as a Senior Consultant and has since become a 50 per cent shareholder in the company.
Canterbury Employers' Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Peter Townsend says “It’s great to see people like Lucy taking up the opportunity to invest in a Christchurch SME. Carter Price Rennie is one of Christchurch’s oldest and most well established public relations consultancies.
I would like to congratulate Lucy on seeing an investment opportunity and wish her and Amy Carter all the best for their business partnership. As the rebuild ramps up the need for experienced communications professionals is even more important.”
“It’s fantastic to become a Partner in a company so involved in Canterbury,” says Powell. “After moving to Christchurch in October, I have enjoyed the personal and professional challenge of being so closely associated with the economic and social rebuild of the city. I am thrilled to now be a shareholder in CPR.”
Managing Partner Amy Carter is also pleased to have Powell as a Partner, “Lucy’s background is a great asset to CPR. She has experience with leading brands and advising senior leaders on external relations and communications strategy. Her Auckland and Wellington networks as well as her breadth of experience in the technology, aviation and tourism sectors are being put to good use.”
