Simon Harvey, Senior Advisor for The Natural Step, New Zealand and programme manager for ASV will explain why so many businesses self-impose sustainability as a cost rather than as an opportunity. He’ll provide stimulating insights about how businesses can respond proactively and profitably to social and environmental drivers of change.
Drawing on his considerable experience working with a diverse range of businesses he will highlight the possibilities for driving business growth with authentic sustainability. By inspiring continual innovation that enhances the business story and brand value, businesses can learn how to see round corners while also reducing risks, lowering costs and targeting new market opportunities.
“This event will launch ASV in Wellington – we are planning to offer this exciting new programme in Wellington late next month. ASV is a leading performance programme for businesses serious about sustainability and is collaboratively offered by the Sustainable Business Network, The Natural Step and Otago Polytechnic,” said Mr Harvey.
Launched in 2011, 44 businesses across New Zealand have so far completed ASV and research* shows it has delivered value to those businesses that far exceeds the cost of taking part.
Top New Zealand companies including Annabel Langbein Media, Fulton Hogan, Livestock Improvement Corp and NZ Pharmaceuticals recommend the programme and see sustainability across all operations as critical for business success over the coming years.
Eligible businesses can qualify for financial assistance of up to 50% from the NZTE capability development voucher scheme.
