Emerson Network Power Introduces the Liebert® NX (10-40kVA) to ANZ Market

Compact, reliable power source in a fully integrated package reduces total operating costs for small to medium businesses and computer rooms

Sydney, Australia [May 29, 2013] – Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR) and a global leader in maximizing availability, capacity and efficiency of critical infrastructure, launched today the Liebert® NX (10-40kVA), a compact, reliable and fully integrated uninterruptible power supply (UPS) that is ideal for small to medium businesses.

Now available in Australia, New Zealand and the rest of Asia, the Liebert NX (10-40kVA) features highly efficient voltage and frequency independent (VFI) technology, enabling it to provide installation and operating costs savings. The latest offering from Emerson Network Power achieves over 94 per cent efficiency in double conversion mode and up to 98 per cent in Eco Mode, ensuring effective load protection while reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO) and minimising source impacts.

With a rated output power factor of 0.9, the Liebert NX is able to provide 11 per cent more active power than traditional 10-40kVA UPS. The Liebert NX’s combination of performance features and impressive internal battery autonomy make it ideal for providing power protection for a wide range of applications from IT, medical facilities and laboratories, office facilities, and retailers.

The Liebert NX is a flexible solution with a compact footprint, tailor-fit for the needs of smaller facilities. The internal battery component allows for customized configuration options for greater flexibility, while offering long back up capability of up to an hour at 10kVA.

The unit is parallel ready and can be connected with up to four units, one of which is redundant. A single unit can be upgraded to parallel operation via easy to modify software settings and the addition of extra modules, allowing the system to be customized for the required configuration.

The Liebert NX features a multi-lingual LCD user interface allowing for close control and monitoring of system status and performance. The UPS also offers voltage-free contact ports, USB interface and Internal Intellislot for SNMP or ModBus communication. These communication capabilities make the Liebert NX compatible with building management systems, and can be monitored by using Liebert Multilink™ and Nform.

The Liebert NX architecture is designed to make installation and service simple with its easily-removable power assembly, minimising downtime for any service requirements.
