Annual
sustainable business showcase to highlight new ways to live
well
The Sustainable Business Network’s
2013 showcase in October will highlight new ways to live
well in the “world’s most liveable city”
The showcase will once again take place at The Cloud on Queen’s Wharf, this time from 17-19 October.
“More than half of last year's exhibitors have already confirmed their spots, including crowd favourites from 2012, and we are also excited to be bringing visitors a range of new exhibits,” says Rachel Brown, CEO Sustainable Business Network.
The showcase is relevant for all Aucklanders, says Brown. “Entrance to the showcase is free and is open to all members of the public. Visitors who are already conscious consumers will be encouraged to take their sustainability one step further and concerned kiwis who want to care for the environment, but aren't quite sure how, will be shown small manageable steps to becoming more sustainable.”
On the Friday night of the showcase The Cloud will be buzzing with a night market featuring bands, DJs, art installations, cooking masterclasses and food trucks - providing a great atmosphere for after work drinks.
Generation Zero, a group of young kiwis working together to secure a zero carbon Aotearoa, will be collaborating on a special forum with business and designers at the Showcase demonstrating their ongoing vision for Auckland.
