New Managing Director Retail and Business Banking for ANZ New Zealand
Fred Ohlsson is to be the new Managing Director Retail and Business Banking at ANZ New Zealand.
Mr Ohlsson, whose appointment is subject to Reserve Bank of New Zealand approval, takes up the role on 30 September. He is currently ANZ New Zealand’s Managing Director Business Banking.
He will take over the running of the bank’s Retail business from Kerri Thompson, who has been appointed Managing Director Bancassurance and Customer Experience with ANZ Global Wealth in Sydney.
Mr Ohlsson has been Managing
Director Business Banking since joining ANZ New Zealand in
December 2010. He has an MBA from the prestigious Bocconi
University School of Management in Milan, Italy, and worked
for management consultants
McKinsey and Company before
joining ANZ in 2001 in Australia, where he was General
Manager Commercial Products.
During his time with ANZ New
Zealand, business banking market share has grown and funds
under management have reached record
highs.
