Stray adds Vietnam to its comprehensive travel network

The pioneers of flexible, guided, South East Asian travel are excited to announce they are going even further astray – by adding Vietnam to their already comprehensive hop on, hop off South East Asia bus network.

With expert local guides, Stray offers travellers more culture, more wildlife, and the chance to do more than ever thought possible, in a responsible and adventurous way. Strays mini-coaches get closer to the action, link to remote locations, and allow greater flexibility, in a safe and independent style of travel.

“We are thrilled to now offer travellers the real Vietnam experience. Stray takes you closer to the action, we eat where the locals eat, drink where the locals drink and discover outstanding attractions, traditions and legends, going where no one else goes,” says Holly Zimmerman, General Manager Stray Asia.

Passes include all the Vietnam favourites Ho Chi Minh, Hoi An, Hue and Hanoi, but in true Stray style take travellers further off the beaten track to explore newly discovered caves, stunning National Parks, secret swimming spots, tunnels from the Secret War, and sample bizarre local delicacies - in areas like Dong Hoi and Ninh Binh.

Stray travellers will experience an authentic Vietnam coastal town, where they can indulge in locally brewed beer and fresh seafood, whilst chilling out on some of Vietnam’s finest unspoilt beaches.

“We quickly realised through product research how much untouched natural beauty is hidden off the beaten track in Vietnam. Stray travellers will benefit from having a guide who can give them instant access to real-life and local information that the guidebooks or internet can’t tell you. Travellers can feel confident they’ll get amongst the real culture of South East Asia with Stray,” says Zimmerman.

Passengers can choose from a 12 Day, Vietnam only ‘The Dong Pass’, or a 38 day ‘The Lot Pass’. The Lot includes all the highlights of Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, as well as some more adventurous locations only available with Stray.

Stray weekly departures start in December 2013, running from the south to north of Vietnam, with connections to our Cambodian and Laos routes; and has retail support in Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Luang Prabang and Siem Reap.
