Unison Christmas Stockings at Rotorua Night Market

Unison Christmas Stockings Up for Grabs at Rotorua Night Market

29 November 2013 - With only three Christmas stockings left, Unison is encouraging the Rotorua community to join Kerri Hahunga as one of the lucky winners of its Christmas promotion, which forms part of the Company’s sponsorship of the Rotorua Night Market.

Mrs. Hahunga was the first winner drawn in the four-week Christmas promotion, which saw her winning a stocking of prizes at last night’s Market after entering the competition on Unison’s Facebook page.

With Christmas just around the corner, she said the prizes were a welcome surprise.

“It felt really good to win, I didn’t care about which prize I got, I would have been happy with anything!”

Unison has now sponsored the Rotorua Night Market for over three years. Unison Group Chief Executive Officer, Ken Sutherland, said the relationship between Unison and the Night Market was a great way to accentuate Unison’s intrinsic involvement with its community.

"When the Rotorua District Council first approached Unison to sponsor the Night Market, we saw a great opportunity to support Council’s vision of revitalising the inner city. We also saw an opportunity to help the region grow at a community level.

“Now, over three years into it, our partnership with the Council continues to strengthen, and the Market’s success continues to grow. It has been fantastic to see the response to our Christmas Stocking campaign.”

By entering on Unison’s Facebook page, Market goers go into the draw to win a stocking full of prizes, with a winner drawn every Wednesday until the week before Christmas. Each winner is announced on MoreFM Rotorua and is then required to head down to the Night Market on Thursday to select their stocking.
