Villa Maria Toasts to New World Gold Medal Wines
Villa Maria was awarded gold medals for four of their top quality wines in the newly announced 2014 New World Wine Awards.
With a record amount of entries this year, these highly competitive awards, in their 12th year, are widely respected amongst customers as an excellent measure of great quality and affordable wines.
Adorning a New World gold medal is the Villa Maria Cellar Selection Marlborough Chardonnay 2013, Cellar Selection Marlborough Pinot Noir 2012, Cellar Selection Hawkes Bay Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 and Villa Maria Private Bin Hawkes Bay Merlot 2013.
“These four wines have great character and offer exceptional value,” commented Alastair Maling MW General Manager of Winemaking and Viticulture for Villa Maria. “These amazing varietals are classical, distinctly regional and suit a wide range of occasions.”
With 138 New World stores nationwide the gold medal winners including Villa Maria’s four golds, will be showcased in the New World top fifty wine guide booklet, online and in store from today.
