Elevating the Sales Profession in New Zealand
February 2015 — The New Zealand Institute of Sales recently announced its launch into the New Zealand marketplace.
The New Zealand
Institute of Sales is the only national, cross-industry
professional organisation dedicated to elevating the sales
profession in New Zealand. It drives the collision between
the art and science of sales by encouraging, advancing and
sharing knowledge, practical learning in and research into
that art and science, whilst fostering intimate links to New
Zealand businesses and government support bodies.
Critically also is the growing association with local and
international academia in the space of formal sales
education and research. The Institute also supports
professional development, peer networking, best practice
research, thought leadership and industry awards among
members who are practitioners in, support, manage and lead
sales organisations.
The New Zealand Institute of Sales offers membership benefits including Continuing Professional Development, learning from world class speakers, captains of industry and experienced practitioners at seminars, conferences, breakfast briefings and executive forums, and unmatched networking opportunities with industry peers and like-minded professionals. Members also enjoy discounted participation and the opportunity to demonstrate their expertise and thought leadership with involvement in industry events, seminars, conferences, workshops or awards.
Other major events and initiatives driven by the New Zealand Institute of Sales include: Top 30 Companies to Sell For - An extensive questionnaire sent to New Zealand business owners, sales managers, training managers, and human resources, to request information pertinent to prospective employees looking to enter the sales profession. A top result will set an organisation apart as the best place to sell for, and place the company as a desired place to work. This provides companies a competitive advantage when attracting and recruiting sales professionals, as the search for exceptional sales talent becomes harder and harder.
The research focuses on three broad areas: customer growth and retention; hiring, compensation, sales training and development; and company market recognition and reputation.
New Zealand Excellence in Sales Awards (NZESA) – The New Zealand Excellence in Sales Awards (NZESA) rewards individuals and teams who are demonstrating evidence of best practices and outstanding achievements in all aspects of sales strategy, planning and execution. The New Zealand Excellence in Sales Awards (NZESA) is supported by industry leaders and sales practitioners across all industries of all sizes. The inaugural awards ceremony takes place in Auckland on Thursday 22nd October 2015. Nominations are open now.
Sales Conference & Expo - New Zealand's largest gathering of sales professionals. The inaugural Sales Conference and Expo following the theme of ‘Future of Sales’, will feature sessions from a collection of today’s most recognised and accomplished practising sales experts. Learn the latest tips, technologies and proven best practices for solving today’s toughest sales challenges.
