More Buses for ManaBus.com

More Buses for ManaBus.com

Auckland, 19 March 2015 – City-to-city express coach operator ManaBus.com, announces the purchase of five double deck buses, almost doubling the size of its fleet.

CEO Sheryll Otway says the company is expanding its services and needs the additional buses to service new routes, currently being planned.

“ManaBus.com’s first five months have been fantastic. A big thank you goes to the 80,000 people who have travelled with us so far. It proves there is demand for an express city-to-city transport service that combines excellent customer service, high quality luxury coaches and great value low fares.

“Since launch, we’ve been overwhelmed with suggestions for new stops and new routes. The first step is to buy the buses, which Kiwi Bus Builders will assemble in Tauranga. The next is to decide what North Island routes to add, and we’ll be making that announcement in a couple of months.

“The team is thrilled to be adding new services, and providing new destinations for our passengers. The growth potential for ManaBus.com is really exciting. With new routes comes a need for more drivers and attendants and we’re interested in hearing from people who are experienced in long haul coach driving and enjoy providing excellent customer service,” says Sheryll.

Kiwi Bus Builders managing director, Richard Drummond, says he is looking forward to working with ManaBus.com once again. Kiwi Bus Builders assembled its first fleet of buses last year.

“Sir Brian Souter, who owns ManaBus.com, has manufacturing contacts around the world and could easily have had the buses made overseas more cheaply. But he chose to use a Kiwi company and to support New Zealand manufacturing,” says Richard.
Volvo Buses, New Zealand National Sales Manager Clive Jones is also delighted to continue a partnership with ManaBus.com.

“We have worked closely with the team at ManaBus.com to ensure that the end product is built exactly for New Zealand unique conditions and that their coaches can deliver unmatched reliability alongside an exceptional customer experience,” says Clive.
Each red, luxury ManaBus.com coach costs about $800,000 and the new buses are expected to be on the road by November. Passengers travel in comfort; the fit-out includes air conditioning, comfortable reclining red leather seats and on-board toilet facilities. On selected journeys complimentary at-seat catering and refreshments will be served by trained ManaBus.com customer service attendants. Also included is free Wi-Fi and at-seat power and USB points for charging laptops, tablets and smartphones meaning that they can stay connected, productive and entertained wherever they are.

Full timetable details of all ManaBus.com services are available at www.manabus.com. Tickets for all services can be booked online now, with lots of exceptionally low fares available on all services.

“We are really excited about the future – we have lots of ideas and expansion plans,” says Sheryll.

“We do know we’re a young company though, and so we’re focused on continuously improving our services to make sure that our ManaBus.com customers are able to have an even better experience every time they ride with us.”
