Mōtai Tangata Rau – 2015 Recipient of Mobil Oil Te Reo Excellence Trophy
The recipient of this year’s Mobil Oil Te Reo Excellence Trophy recognising excellence in written and performed Māori language at the 2015 Te Matatini Festival was announced today.
The winner is Mōtai Tangata Rau from the Waikato-Tainui region.
The Mobil Oil Te Reo Excellence Trophy was inadvertently missed out at the Festival prize giving ceremony held recently in Christchurch.
This was unintentional and is regretted by the National Committee.
The presentation of the trophy will now occur at Rawhitiroa Marae, Te Awamutu at 2.00pm on Tuesday, 7th April 2015.
