Newmarket Travel Retailer Wins Top Industry Award Two Years Running
House of Travel Newmarket has again been recognised as one of New Zealand’s best travel outlets winning another prestigious title at the TAANZ National Travel Industry Awards.
The team won Best Brand Retail – Single Location last year, and now director Clare Jackson has been awarded Best Travel Agency Manager Retail for 2015.
Jackson says the new accolade is just as much a team effort and to have won year-on-year is “the icing on the cake.”
“My sole focus was to get my team up and running effectively and efficiently while maintaining a great working environment. I'm delighted to be working with such an incredible team who share a passion for travel and a commitment to creating the best possible itineraries and holiday escapes for their clients,” she says.
Jackson credits the success of the business to a strategic business model coupled with a values driven culture.
“I am a strong believer in the saying, ‘culture without strategy is aimless, strategy without culture is meaningless,” she says.
“Our team have decades of industry knowledge and experience and it’s their job to take those unique insights and encourage others to embark on their dream holiday. I am so pleased that the industry has recognised our commitment to helping inspire other New Zealanders to travel,” she says.
