Gull Keeps Petrol Prices Low: Major players hike prices
Gull notes that at least one major oil company has
today hiked the price of regular fuel back up above $2.
David Bodger, General Manager, Gull New Zealand says Gull is about providing value for money to the Kiwi motorist.
“While the larger companies put their prices up, we will keep our prices below the $2 mark. Yes, international prices have risen and yes, the dollar has dropped, but that may reverse tomorrow,” he says.
“Gull sees no need to bludgeon the motorist with such a rapid response to international changes. We will not be moving prices up at our company controlled sites before Friday afternoon at the earliest,” Bodger adds.
The highest price for regular 91 at company priced sites is $1.949 and drops as low as $1.789 at Te Ngae Road in Rotorua.
Diesel is similarly priced no higher than
$1.169 a litre.
| Product | Highest Price | Lowest Price |
| Regular (91 octane) | $1.949 | $1.789 |
| Force 10(98 Octane) | $2.099 | $1.939 |
| Low Sulphur Diesel | $1.169 | $0.999 |
Motorists can make further savings by using their Countdown supermarket vouchers at the manned Gull sites.
