Wellington Corporate Travel Agency Wins National Award

Wellington Corporate Travel Agency Wins National Industry Award

Travel agency Orbit Wellington has been awarded ‘Best Brand Corporate Single Location’ at the TAANZ National Travel Industry Awards, which acknowledge excellence in the sector.

Director and Business Owner of Orbit Wellington, Paul Rennie says the needs of the corporate travel market are rapidly evolving, and the recent honour acknowledges Orbit’s focus on the client and delivering the simplest, smartest business travel solutions.

“Kiwi executives are travelling even more domestically and further afield than ever before, and with this business migration they have an increasing need for a 24/7 service, greater security while travelling and, rely more on technology to increase the efficiency of travel; whether it is managing their itinerary, tracking expenses or using the best booking systems available,” he says.

Rennie says it is no longer just the domain of larger organisations with increasing numbers of SMEs requiring the agency’s services.

Strong supplier relationships and preferred partner arrangements which benefit clients have also been key to the company’s ongoing growth, he says.

“Our business approach is about providing our clients with a seamless service which means meeting their needs at all times - from thinking outside the box for providing travel solutions to our clients, to helping those stranded in emergencies – everything we do is done with the client top of mind”.

Rennie says Wellington’s client focus extends to the company having created virtual offices which allow Orbit staff to work remotely during an outage, ensuring there is minimal downtime for clients needing essential travel services. “We even have the capability to set up remote offices around the world for clients that need business services during their own hours of business”.

Orbit was also a finalist in the ‘Best Brand Corporate Multi Location’ category of the TAANZ Awards, and Orbit’s travel booking provider Amadeus won the ‘Best Technology Supplier’ Category.
