Two new senior associates at Chapman Tripp
Chapman Tripp is pleased to welcome two new senior associates to the firm’s Auckland office. The appointments are effective immediately.
Gerard Souness, Finance, Auckland
Gerard specialises in corporate and institutional finance advising banks, corporates and other entities. He advises clients on syndicated and bi-lateral lending, securitisation and trade and structured finance. Gerard has recently returned to Chapman Tripp following three years at Westpac where he advised the corporate and institutional bank on the breadth of its transactional and corporate finance product offerings, customer restructures and corporate functions.
Heath Brunton, Property, Auckland
Heath is a property law specialist with particular expertise in development. He joins Chapman Tripp from another commercial law firm. Heath has extensive experience in complex design build lease agreements for industrial, office and large format retail premises; as well as large scale mixed use and urban regeneration projects. He is regularly involved in the acquisition and disposal of land and commercial property for development and investment, including carrying out comprehensive due diligence. He is also experienced in the property aspects of Agribusiness and Hotels.
