Air NZ And Flight Centre Strike up Global Deal
Air New Zealand and Flight Centre have announced a long-term strategic partnership agreement, covering operations in New Zealand, Australia, USA , Canada and the UK.
The three year deal was signed in Brisbane by NZ ceo Christopher Luxon and Flight Centre Travel Group ceo Graham Turner, with Luxon saying the partnership "seeks to build deeper sales and market development opportunities, in addition to improving alignment with tourism board marketing opportunities."
Luxon said partnerships with like-minded industry leaders are crucial to the airline's success.
"Flight Centre brings unique, innovative propositions to our key markets and is the ideal partner to increase awareness and familiarity of our global network," he added.
Flight Centre NZ managing director Chris Greive says the two companies have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship in New Zealand and that, "we are thrilled to be expanding this relationship globally."
"This partnership is an exciting venture for Flight Centre and we look forward to working with Air New Zealand to promote their world class offerings to our leisure and corporate travel customers globally," Mr Greive said.
