Miracle in Dunedin!
Miracle in Dunedin!
A local Dunedin childrenswear store have received international recognition by becoming the first ever flagship store throughout Australia and New Zealand for the award winning global brand Merino Kids.
Miracle owners Harriet Moir and Sam Cadman are very excited to be joining the flock at Merino Kids. They have long been fans of the brand, especially as they both have young children themselves.
The two mothers first met when working at a retail store together in 2007. Previously Harriet had been working as a childrenswear buyer and had seen the gap in the market for opening up an independent store. Both agreed that the demand for merino was on the rise and this was re-iterated by customer feedback.
“When merino products first came out, we needed to educate New Zealanders about the qualities of the product, especially the health and safety benefits. These days most Kiwis are aware of the benefits of merino and so we have seen the demand for merino products rise significantly,” said Harriet.
Cadman added “merino is especially popular in Dunedin. It can be used as an all year round fabric as it’s so breathable. We’re so excited to be able to offer a full range of the Merino Kids garments and we always have lots of customers asking for their products.”
Both owners have always been fans of Merino Kids and their quality products and said that it is a brand that has built loyal followers across the world. They like to support home-grown brands where possible and are excited to be taking on a ‘core iconic NZ brand’.
Merino Kids Sales and Marketing Manager, Diana Kerr, said “it’s great to have such passionate brand ambassadors on board. We’re excited to see our full range of award-winning Go Go Bags and Cocooi Babywraps in our fantastic new season colours on offer down in Dunedin. We chose to launch our initial flagship store in Dunedin because we have such a great following down there and were really impressed with the way Harriet and Sam conduct their business.”
