Cruise Republic wins NZ Online Agency of the Year
The Annual Cruise Industry Awards by CLIA Australasia took place on the 20th of February, celebrating and acknowledging the hard work and innovation of all those who made 2015 a great year for cruising Down Under. Cruise Republic proudly took home the Online Agency of the Year - New Zealand award, an accolade which many happy cruising Kiwis will agree with.
Ryan Posa, General Manager, was on hand to accept the award and said of the achievement “We are honoured to receive this award. As an online agency, we work hard to make cruising easily accessible to New Zealanders, and it’s great to be acknowledged for our efforts in that regard. Thanks to the CLIA organisation for the wonderful event.”
Amy McMillan of Cruise Republic was nominated for a Rising Star award, and the company also had a special commendation for their marketing efforts building up to and during last year’s CLIA Cruise Week.
The Cruise Lines International Association is the organisation behind the awards, the largest association of its type and dedicated to promoting and growing the cruise industry. The Australasia chapter put on a fantastic evening at the Star Event Centre in Sydney, with 19 winners, both for New Zealand and Australia, across nine categories. Australian singer Tina Arena also gave the crowd a show stopping performance.
Last year, CLIA released some statistics which continue to show a trend of huge growth in the Australasia region. It is the fastest-growing cruise market globally, and in 2014 hit the milestone marker of one million passengers. While P&O Australia expanded its fleet to five in November 2015, North American cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean, Princess, Carnival and Celebrity have based more ships in the region - and the ultra-modern mega-ship Ovation of the Seas will sail from Sydney soon after her launch in 2016.
Cruise Republic, the company behind CruiseSaleFinder.co.nz and CruiseSaleFinder.com.au, has been sourcing and booking cruise deals for New Zealand and Australian customers since 2008. An easily navigable website and secure booking engine offer prospective passengers a simple way to plan their cruises. The site offers some of the best prices available and a wide range of itineraries with popular cruise lines including P&O Cruises and Princess Cruises across the globe with a focus on the South Pacific. They also have a knowledgeable and friendly team of cruise consultants available by phone, offering a human touch for customers.
