No surprises for New Zealanders with new Genesis Energy LPG Value Plans
Genesis Energy has announced its new nationwide LPG Value Plans. This is a new type of LPG plan in the market where, unlike all other competitor offerings, New Zealanders using 45kg bottles of LPG will be billed the same amount each month – even in winter when consumption generally increases.
WHAT IS LPG?
LPG is Liquid Petroleum Gas. Most households fuel their barbeques with small 9kg LPG bottles and the larger 45kg bottles are used by households that want gas cooking and gas heating, but aren’t connected to natural gas.
GENESIS ENERGY LPG VALUE PLANS
The Genesis Energy LPG Value Plans have been developed with the customer in mind. They make budgeting easier, as there is no increase in costs during winter or when cylinders need filling. It’s the same monthly pricing throughout the year.
Until now, consumers have purchased LPG by the bottle, with additional rental and delivery fees meaning payments vary hugely each month. The Genesis Energy LPG Value Plans solves this.
With Genesis Energy LPG Value Plans, consumers pick one of four plans ranging from $33 a month for three 45kg bottles a year to $177 a month for twenty four 45kg bottles a year.
Consumers use and order the bottles whenever they like throughout the year, and pay a fixed monthly charge for all bottle rental, distribution and refill charges. There are no upfront charges and no delivery costs.
If consumers run out of bottles before the end of their annual plan, they can also order additional bottles at a fixed rate. The extra cost for the additional bottles is also fully inclusive, with no delivery charges added.
