New Zealand Institute of Building appoints Hannah Keir-Smith as operations manager
The New Zealand Institute of Building (NZIOB) has appointed Hannah Keir-Smith to a newly created role of operations manager in its Wellington office.
Hannah joined NZIOB from NZ Family Planning where she was personal assistance to the chief executive. She previously worked at the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors in a membership support role.
At NZIOB she will support the chief executive and take responsibility for implementing a growing programme of events including the NZIOB’s Annual Industry Awards, NZIOB Conference, NZIOB Charitable Trust programme, and National CPD Road Shows and Chapter events.
NZIOB chief executive Malcolm Fleming said, “The NZIOB has embarked upon an ambitious work programme to better represent the construction industry. This includes a growing number of national and regional events, the expansion of our ‘STEM in spades’ programme promoting our technology rich industry to youth, and the newly introduced Chartered Building Professional (CBP) qualification. In order to successfully deliver this expanded work programme, we created the operations manager role and appointed Hannah.”
Hannah was educated at Wellington Girls’ College and has a BA from the University of Otago.
